Hülkenberg is a similar case to Magnussen. He too seemed to be disappearing from F1 for good. After leaving Renault in 2019, he lost his permanent racing job. He did race in the 2020 and 2022 seasons, but only as a substitute for Racing Point and Aston Martin. However, he returns permanently in 2023, replacing Mick Schumacher at Haas. He’ll try to claim, among other things, his first podium, which he hasn’t been able to achieve even once in his previous 181 starts.
