PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Imola is a beautiful town with great infrastructure and services. It's also just off the Adriatic motorway, so there's no trouble on the way to the Formula 1 races. Still, it's worth checking out all the information and saving yourself the stress.

FAQ

You can find an overview here.

The easiest and most recommended way is to take the train to Imola station, which is about a 20-minute walk from the circuit. Trains run regularly from Bologna Centrale, and the journey takes around 30/40 minutes. Driving is also possible, but traffic and parking can be difficult, especially on race day.

There are multiple car parks around the track, some of them are closer to the track, some are a bit further so be prepared to walk a bit. Some of them you can also reserve online. You can find more info here.

Unfortunately, there is no shuttle bus around the circuit. However, you can easily walk from anywhere, and parking lots are in close proximity to the circuit. Alternatively, a taxi will take you from the train station. All information about parking is here, and about transport to the circuit is here.

The surrounding area of Imola has quite rich accommodation options. Good options are campsites around the circuit. In addition to the immediate surroundings, you can take advantage of the capacity of resorts on the Adriatic coast. More information about accommodation can be found here.

Yes, there are campsites available near the circuit and it is actually one of the best options as you can simply only walk to the circuit each day – no traffic. You can find more info here.

Dress comfortably and be ready for both rain and sun. Wear waterproof or sturdy shoes, layered clothing, and bring a light rain jacket just in case. Avoid outfits that are too formal or too revealing – aim for something practical but relaxed. A hat, sunglasses, and a small backpack for essentials are also a good idea. F1 team gear is always welcome!

There aren't officially designated drop-off and pick-up zones at the Imola circuit. It is advisable to arrange these pickups and drop-offs in nearby areas, such as the Imola train station, which is around a 30-minute walk from the circuit. However, be aware that the demand for taxis and ride-sharing services will be high during the weekend, so waiting times may be longer and prices higher.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Citizens of the European Union and Schengen Area countries do not require a visa. Additionally, nationals from countries including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and Japan can enter Italy visa-free for up to 90 days.
