Formula 1 GP Emilia-Romagna 17/05-19/05 2024

Daniel Ricciardo

Date of birth: 1.7.1989
Nationality: Australian
F1 debut: 2011
Achievements: 3rd place overall (2014, 2016)

After the 2022 season and struggles at McLaren, Daniel Ricciardo had to leave the F1 paddock but returned midway through the 2023 season as a replacement for rookie Nyck de Vries, who had retired from the AlphaTauri team. Ricciardo is tasked with bringing experience to a team that has long struggled in the second half of the grid. Ricciardo had the best period of his career at Red Bull. He was with the Austrian outfit from 2014 to 2018 and took seven victories in its colors. His highest finish in the overall standings was third, which he achieved in the 2014 and 2016 seasons. After his departure to Renault in 2019, he suffered a career downturn and experienced two winless seasons. His last victory came in 2021 in McLaren colors at the Italian Grand Prix.
